12 Books for 2015!

Thursday, January 1, 2015

I love to read. Seriously, I could spend days in a comfy chair with cups of tea (and food) with books. One of my goals for 2015 is to read 1 book each month for fun. I do a lot of reading for class (#historymajorproblems), so I tend not to read for enjoyment unless I'm on break. These are the books I want to read in 2015, and I'm really excited to start them all!

The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery

Paris. It has hedgehog in the title. And the French title is L'élegance du Herisson which is just fun to say.

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Normandy. WWII. It's like this book was written for me.

The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien

I read this book when I was in middle school, but I don't really remember it. Now that the movies have come out, I figure it's good to read it again.

Blog, Inc. by Joy Cho

I'm still getting the hang of this blogging thing, and I've heard that this is a good book to read for bloggers!

A Million Little Ways by Emily P. Freeman

I'm working on owning my creativity, so maybe this book will help.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

I read The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns, and Looking for Alaska this year, and I liked them for the most part (I wasn't a fan of Paper Towns). Next up is An Abundance of Katherines.

The Storied Life of AJ Fickry by Gabrielle Zevin

One of my friends from The Fountain Pen Society recommended this to me.

The Great Glass Sea by Josh Weil

Fantasy. Russia. Lovely.

Yes Please by Amy Poehler

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I can't believe I haven't already read this.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Technically I already started it, but I want to finish it. It's really good!

Daring Greatly by Brene Brown

My dad read this book and keeps referencing it. I want to read it so I can understand his references.
