Make it Happen Monday! #3

Monday, July 21, 2014

I love writing about my goals for the week. I think it really helps me keep track of all the things I need to do, and keeps me accountable! Plus, I love making goals, making lists (in case you haven't noticed, I'm very fond of list-making), and planning things out.

Last week I was able to accomplish everything on my list, even applying to be a blogger for DU! Check out my very first video blog (vlog) ever, where I talk about how I chose French!

Now, this week is going to be so busy. I'm going to be in LA on Monday and Tuesday to go to the French Consulate there (I have to appear in person to apply for my visa), and I'm hoping to visit some museums while I'm there and play tourist a little bit. :)

So, without further ado, my goals for this week!

1. Apply for a student visa at the consulate in LA. Kind of a no-brainer. It will be nice to get that done.

2. Visit the Getty. This is definitely a museum that I could spend forever in, and I will only have a few hours. But, I don't think that my trip to LA would be complete without visiting!

3. Donate 5 pieces of clothing to Goodwill. I have way too many clothes, and I'm trying to downsize, by a lot. So I must get rid of 5 pieces of clothing this week!

4. Start the 100 Days of Happiness challenge. Some of my friends have done it, and I think it's a good thing to try and share something that makes you happy every day. I have a tendency to focus on the negative things in my life, so focusing on the good will be a unique challenge for me.

5. Buy a new camera. I had a trusty little Canon Powershot, but I may have broken it when I went to Belize in December. It had been with me to France and Spain twice, and college, and Belize, and I'm sad that I couldn't make it work. And that the people at Mike's Camera couldn't make it work either. So I'm going to take the plunge and buy a new camera for blogging and for when I go abroad. Plus side: I have an gift card, so I'll buy it from there.

What are your goals for this week? Anything you absolutely must get done?

As always, thank you for reading. :)
